The week was another busy one for the Brighton Lure Boat, with the weather not really playing ball, we had John and Wayne out on there first fishing adventure for nearly 40 years.
We were meet with a swell which was the aftermath of previous days afternoon breeze! So with guidance in gentle casting technique, they soon got into the swing of getting the lure away to a good distance.
Our first stop for the Brighton Lure Boat
Was the rocky reefs, a popular spot for Brighton Sea Fishing and Brighton Charter Fishing. Wayne had the first fish of the morning, around 2lb, John joined in but his dropped at the net. We continued for another hour, a few takes but with the very little tide, this didn’t help the fish hitting lures, mouthed and dropped.
We continued on to another outcrop of rocks, and within 10 minutes of the drift and the tide had started to flood, the wind had dropped off, we had action-packed hour more ways than one, Wayne was in again to the silvers, we took a photo taken and striking resemblance to a blues brother, think it must be his ear to ear smile, John was camera shy although he did manage 3 fish as did Wayne, John he was ok catching but didn’t want the glory for the world to see.
The breeze was on its way in which put paid to continue, safety first and forecast. In total 9 Silvers 1 wrasse, no monsters but great banter, all in all, another great time to be fishing in Sussex on the Brighton Lure Boat.
