With its vibrant culture, history and quirkiness, there are many reasons to visit Brighton as a tourist. There are so many things to do – you can spend the day at the beach, stroll along Brighton Palace Pier, visit the Royal Pavilion, traipse through the Lanes, take in one of Brighton’s museums or even get an amazing view of Brighton from the British Airways i360 observation tower. It’s no wonder that Brighton is such a popular tourist destination for Brits.
If you are looking for an activity in Brighton that brings a little more action and involves some proper sea air, then why not come sea fishing with us?
Whether you are a complete novice or know a thing or two about fishing at sea, we are happy to cater for anyone that is enthusiastic about fishing with us. With over 40 years of experiencing fishing on the south coast, our friendly skipper Iain is always happy to share his passion and knowledge of fishing.

If a day at sea with Brighton Lure Boat sounds like your kind of adventure, then here’s everything you need to know:
Find us
You can find us at Brighton Marina, situated close to Brighton’s main beaches.
Our sea fishing trips
At Brighton Lure Boat, we operate a variety of sea fishing trips from Brighton Marina. Join us for one of our day trips, or if you are looking for something a little different, why not book a catch n cook trip, where you have the opportunity to fish for your lunch and then learn how to prepare and cook it.
Species you may catch
Brighton provides a fantastic habitat for many native fish species, so you’ll have chance to test your fishing technique against a range of potential catches. Some of the fish that we regularly see include Bass, Mackerel, Cod and Plaice.
The sea conditions are ever changing, and different fish have different feeding habits, so you never know what you might catch until the day of your trip.
What equipment do you need
Whilst you are welcome to bring your own rods and tackle, we provide all the equipment you need to enjoy a great day of lure angling with us.
What to wear
We advise that you dress suitably for the weather – remember, it may be colder out at sea, so we recommend wearing layers so that you are prepared for different scenarios. Our Brighton Lure Boat is an open boat with little cover from the elements, so warm, waterproof clothing is always a smart idea.
We also recommend that a hat, sunglasses and a high factor sunscreen are essential for protecting you from the sun, even on a cloudy day. Remember that the sea is all around you, reflecting the sun’s rays.
