March madness the fish are here! We had waited a long time, which has been frustrating first three months with constant storms and rough seas. A window of opportunity presented itself, with a few trips out and a full crew on board, with anticipation and plan in place we headed out onto what was a fantastic morning, a flat sea, the sun rising, with no clouds. The words mad what a mad March came to mind with these sessions.
Our customers produced some stunning fish, Malcolm with fish of the month, 58cm, followed by Simon, who had 56cm, these were all returned as were a few others in this 50cm plus bracket. The type of lures used were Drift Fishing yellows and one of my favourite types of fishing, Slow Pitch Jigging on metals, the two types of styles both produced, and Neil & Phil were having a bit of their own competition to who gets the biggest on the Drift Fishing lure or on the Metals.
Everyone had fish for the table this month in what was one of those wow will it ever happen again months with the total fish caught well into the triple figures, only time will tell, with the warmer weather (hopefully) and calmer seas ahead we can only but wait and see.
Top 3 Catches of the Month!
