Brighton Lure Boat August Round-Up. From previous blogs, the request was mother nature to give us some settled weather, and she certainly did that in more ways than one. The early part of August was very productive, with some great Bass caught by new crews and our regulars with whom who caught their PB. Lawrence with a stunning 63cm, closely followed by 59cm on the same trip.
We also had on board this month Sam Hubbard who works for the Angling Trust, his first trip out he will never forget, not only catching bass over 50cm plus; we had a pod of dolphins, we counted around 24, following us for a few miles, see the video click here.
Our hope is September will bring the larger fish in closer, but I believe with the water being too warm, they have stayed out in the deeper offshore areas; with this in mind, we have gone on 6-hour trips thru the weekdays for September.
Well done to all our crews and to our Catch n Cook family of 5, who enjoyed one of the best meals they had tasted from Taste Sussex.
Catches included
Large Mackerel, Gunards Tub and small grey, Plaice and Bream.
