Welcome to Brighton Lure Boat June Round-Up! Blog Post. Firstly, before we get into fishing matters, our condolences to the family and the diver who tragically lost his life yesterday whilst pursuing his love for the sport he enjoyed.

Well, that was an interesting summer month, weather yet again playing a massive part in keeping us tied up, but when we did get out, we hit the silvers on every trip. We had some new guys, well done to Ross Top Rod on his first go with us. George & Tom who had been waiting 18 months to get on with us, Joe also hit the dizzy heights of being a first timer and was the top rod, although 1 to 2 trips were challenging at times they stuck at the task. We had a couple of unusual moments, we had our 4th thornback ray caught and released by our regular Malc, and then 5 minutes later she was caught again!!! No monsters but plenty of fish for the table, and plenty were returned to fight another day along with Gurnards and Mackerel.

I took some regulars on a far west for an investigative trip which produced some good silvers over ground we had never fished, and on the way back we found birds feeding not once but three times they were about 5 miles from each other, they’re like London buses need 1 and you encounter 3 lots.!

We are well into July and the weather, is much the same, as at the start of June sadly. We live in hope the weather will change very soon!!!
